Feminist Action for Climate Justice

The first objective of this webinar is to learn from ACRP's report, to discuss it with officials (Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD), Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE), Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO)), as well as civil society and grassroot organisations, and to identify what South Africa could do at every level to take gender into account while mitigating climate change. The discussions will also focus on what can been done at the local level, through grassroot organisations as drivers of change.  The second objective to invite as many CSOs and CBOs as possible, organisations already working on this intersection of gender inequality and fight against climate change, but also organisation working on one of the two topics and interested in developing a more holistic approach. This event should help create a stronger coalition, and a network of organisation working on these issues.
